Jarrett F. Solomon joined Connecticut Wealth Management, LLC in 2011 as a Senior Financial Advisor. Jarrett’s role at Connecticut Wealth Management, LLC involves crafting individualized wealth plans for clients while offering proactive solutions and strategies to ensure that the plan’s efficiency is maximized. In addition, Jarrett oversees the firm’s Investment Committee, which collaboratively and objectively sets the firm’s asset allocation targets and selects the managers for the firm’s platform.
Prior to joining the Connecticut Wealth Management team, Jarrett spent eight years at Convergent Wealth Advisors, a large Registered Investment Advisor in the Washington, D.C. area. At Convergent, Jarrett served as a trusted advisor and was responsible for customizing financial solutions to meet his clients’ needs, goals and wealth objectives. In addition, Jarrett managed a client service team and spearheaded the summer intern program for three years.
Jarrett has been published in the Hartford Business Journal, twice in Financial Advisor magazine, and was a guest blogger on Forbes.com. In addition, he was interviewed on a podcast that appears on the website for Premier Healthcare Resource regarding how incentives for financial advisors can be misaligned with their clients’ best interests.
Jarrett graduated magna cum laude from Amherst College with a degree in economics. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) licensee and holds the Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA®) designation, which is granted by the Investment Management Consultants Association in conjunction with the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business. Jarrett holds the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Series 65 registration.
Affiliations and Community Involvement
Jarrett has been a member of the Investment Management Consultants Association since 2007, and is a member of the Financial Services Institute. He has been recognized as a Five Star Wealth Manager* by Crescendo Business Services (2012); the elite list appears annually in Connecticut magazine. Jarrett was also selected by Connecticut Magazine as a member of their 2013 “40 Under 40” class.
Jarrett currently volunteers through Co-Opportunity, a Hartford based non-profit organization, as a budget coach to low-income families in Connecticut, and is a mentor with the Nutmeg Big Brothers Big Sisters association. In addition, he serves on the Public Policy committee for Hartford Young Professionals and Entrepreneurs (“HYPE”). In the past Jarrett has volunteered his time at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology as a tutor for the Undergraduate Practice Opportunities Program, a course that teaches business skills to engineering students. At Amherst, Jarrett was an outfielder on the baseball team, and he has also been active in coaching youth sports. A Simsbury native, Jarrett is married and resides in West Hartford with his wife Samira.
