Jarrett F. Solomon joined Connecticut Wealth Management, LLC in 2011 and was named Director in 2013. Jarrett’s role at Connecticut Wealth Management, LLC involves crafting individualized wealth plans for clients while offering proactive solutions and strategies to ensure that the plan’s efficiency is maximized. In addition, Jarrett oversees the firm’s Investment Committee, which collaboratively and objectively sets the firm’s asset allocation targets and selects the managers for the firm’s platform.
Prior to joining the Connecticut Wealth Management team, Jarrett spent eight years at Convergent Wealth Advisors, a large Registered Investment Advisor in the Washington, D.C. area. At Convergent, Jarrett served as a trusted advisor and was responsible for customizing financial solutions to meet his clients’ needs, goals and wealth objectives. In addition, Jarrett managed a client service team and spearheaded the summer intern program for three years.
Jarrett has had pieces published in the Hartford Business Journal, twice in Financial Advisor magazine, and he was a guest blogger on Forbes.com. His innovative solution for a client’s financially driven intra-family conflict was the subject of a piece that appeared on the Wall Street Journal’s website. Jarrett was interviewed exclusively by Physician Practice Options for a podcast regarding how incentives for financial advisors can be misaligned with their clients’ best interests, and he has also presented to various audiences, including his alma mater, about various financial planning tips and strategies.
Jarrett graduated magna cum laude from Amherst College with a degree in economics. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) licensee and holds the Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA®) designation, which is granted by the Investment Management Consultants Association in conjunction with the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business. Jarrett holds the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Series 65 registration and has been a member of the Investment Management Consultants Association since 2007.
Affiliations and Community Involvement
Jarrett has been recognized by Crescendo Business Services as a Five Star Wealth Manager* (2012 & 2013); the elite list appears annually in Connecticut Magazine. In 2013 Jarrett was recognized by Connecticut Magazine as they included him in their annual 40 Under 40 class, while the Hartford Business Journal selected Jarrett to the same honor for their class of 2014.
Jarrett currently spearheads CTWM’s community outreach program. Within that capacity he has forged a relationship with Ascend Mentoring, a local non-profit organization dedicated to working with at-risk youth and their families. As part of this partnership CTWM team members offer their guidance and expertise to these families to help solidify their financial outlook as they concurrently seek to improve other aspects of their lives.
In the past Jarrett has volunteered in a variety of roles, including as a budget coach to low income families in the Hartford area and as a Big Brother within the Nutmeg Big Brothers Big Sisters organization. He also served on the Public Policy committee for Hartford Young Professionals and Entrepreneurs (“HYPE”) and volunteered his time at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology teaching business skills to engineering students. At Amherst, Jarrett was an outfielder on the baseball team, and he has also been active in coaching youth sports. A Simsbury native, Jarrett resides in West Hartford with his wife Samira and daughter Ella.
