Patricia M. Kane, CFP®
Patricia M. Kane has 20 years of professional experience concentrating in the areas of financial planning and wealth management. Patricia works with executives, doctors, business owners, and families. She has a special interest in working with women and the unique financial needs and issues they face. She spent 15 years at CIGNA Investment Management, providing client servicing and reporting to CIGNA’s Institutional investment clients. Her additional work experience includes four years of tax preparation for a local CPA partnership, para-planner for a financial planning firm specializing in executive compensation and employee benefits and as a Development Officer for the New England Air Museum.
Patricia is the director at Connecticut Wealth Management. As the director she is responsible for overseeing the Financial Planning team and developing customized financial plans for clients based on the assessment of the client’s needs and financial situation.
Patricia has both a bachelor’s degree and MBA with a concentration in Finance from the University of Connecticut. She is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) licensee and holds the Series 66 securities registrations through Connecticut Wealth Management, LLC.
Affiliations & Community Involvement
Patricia M. Kane is a President of the College Club of Hartford, an active member of the Financial Planning Association of CT Valley and supportive of various women’s organizations within Connecticut. Patricia is involved with the Financial Planning Association’s: Money Conference for Women, Go Red for Women, the Susan G. Komen Foundation, UConn Women MBA Network (NAWMBA) and the UConn Alumni Association. She leads the Connecticut Wealth Management Women’s Initiative to help create an environment that supports the professional advancement of the women within the organization, as well as educate clients and women in the local community. In addition, Patricia was a founding member of the Connecticut Wealth Management Think Pink program, a program focused on educating women about breast cancer.
Patricia has been recognized as one of the top advisors by Medical Economics (2011, 2012, 2013 & 2014) and a Five Star Wealth Manager* by Crescendo Business Services (2011, 2012, 2013 & 2014); the elite list appearing annually in Connecticut Magazine.
Patricia’s prior community involvement includes volunteering as a leader and assistant leader of Girl Scouts when her children were young and as an Adult Literacy Volunteer. She resides in East Hartland with her husband Steve. Her youngest daughter attends Endicott College and her oldest daughter graduated from Georgetown University and is now serving as a Fellow for Teach For China.*The award is based on expertise, value for fee charged and overall satisfaction.
